2NEW PLAYERS
Any player new to SSFA competition must provide both proof of date of birth and proof of Sutherland Shire residency.
As per Sutherland Shire Football Association rules of registration, one of the following must be supplied as proof of age: Drivers licence, Birth certificate
or Passport
All new players must reside in the Sutherland Shire and need to show proof of residence if registering for the first time. Proof documents include:
Current driver’s licence or a
current document from a financial institution or government agency (e.g.: bank, council rates, ATO)
3WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY REGO FEE?
Your registration fees covers registration costs, insurance, match fees, referee fees and ground fees.
4CAN I USE MY ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHER?
There have been some changes to the way the Active Kids Voucher will work in 2024/2025.
The vouchers will only be available for children in families eligible for Family Tax Benefit Part A, so not all school-age students will automatically qualify.

5FAMILY DISCOUNTS
Family Discounts are available for families* that register 3 or more players with Cronulla RSL Football Club. The Third Child Free Discount will apply to the youngest player in a family. Please email to arrange the discount option.
*A family member is deemed to be a spouse, de facto spouse, father, mother, brother, sister, son or daughter (including step) grandfather, grandmother, granddaughter or grandson living in the same residence - proof of residency will need to be sighted by the Committee to receive the discount.
6UNIFORMS
There is a new uniform for 2025. All returning players will receive the new uniform before Round 1 2025.
All new players (including U6) will need to pay for their uniforms prior to receiving it.
All players will need to have a Cronulla RSL Football Club uniform: shorts, jersey and socks
Please note we do not sell shin pads or boots this will need to be purchased elsewhere.
7CAN I BY BOOTS & SHIN PADS AT THE CLUB?
No, you will need to purchase your own soccer boots & shin pads, we do not sell these at the club. Please note players will not be allowed to play if they are not wearing shin pads - even U6 and U7's
8WHAT AGE CAN MY CHILD START PLAYING SOCCER?
Player must turn five (5) years or older between 1st January and 31st December of the current year.
9TEAM ALLOCATIONS
Team Allocations is compulsory for all Junior players U6 – U18. Full details on team days and /or grading will be announced on our Facebook Page and website.
10CAN I COACH OR MANAGE MY KIDS TEAM?
YES! Our club is run entirely on volunteers and without the help of people like you, the Club simply will not function. You’re welcome to Coach or Manage your child’s team as long as nobody else has put their hand up before you. You will also need to register as a coach or manager (no fee involved) at www.playfootball.com.au/register
11DO I NEED ANY QUALIFICATIONS TO COACH MY CHILDS TEAM?
Not really, a basic understanding of the game is helpful, our Committee and experienced coaches and managers are available to help you out, should you need it, leading up to the start of the season we will adding information on coaching & training drills to our website as the season progresses.
Early Bird fees end 7 February. Higher registration fees from the SSFA apply after 23 March and any registrations received after this date will not be processed until after Round 1 as per SSFA Rule 4. I (a).
13PAYMENT
Payments can be made online using Visa or Mastercard. All fees must be paid in full before players can attend grading, training or trial games. No player is covered by insurance until they are registered.
14REFUNDS
Any players withdrawing from a team after team sheets have been submitted to the SSFA, will forfeit 50% of their registration fee plus all SSFA fees.
15WHAT’S INVOLVED IN BEING A TEAM’S MANAGER?
The role of a Manager is simply the conduit of communication between the Club and the team. Basically, anything to do with the team ‘Off the field’ is the Manager’s responsibility. If you can text or email you can be a manager! You will also need to register as a coach or manager (no fee involved) at www.playfootball.com.au/register

19I WANT TO PLAY IN THE SENIORS - Can I play over 30’s, 35’s, 40’s or over 45’s?
To be eligible to play in an Over 35 competition a player must have attained the age of 35 or older by 31st December of the year PRIOR to the current season. For example if you turn 30 on the 1 February 2024 you will be eligible to play over 30’s in 2024, if you turn 35 in 2024 you will be eligible to play in the over 35’s etc.
20WHAT AGE GROUP WILL MY CHILD BE IN?
A player’s age group will be determined by the age the player is between 1st January and 31st December in the year they are playing. For example if you turn 7 on 1 February 2025 you will play in the U7’s. If kids would like to play up an age with their friends please contact us.
21Working with Children Check (WWCC)
If you are going to be a Coach, Manager, Assistant Coach or Assistant Manager; you will need to get a Working with Children Check on https://wwccheck.ocg.nsw.gov.au/Apply this is free for volunteers and is valid for 5 years.
