During wet weather if Sutherland Shire Council closes the grounds, no training is permitted.
For information regarding the availability of grounds for TRAINING on WEEKDAYS ONLY Sutherland Shire Council has a special wet weather telephone line with recorded updated information - phone 9710 0105.
DO NOT use this service for information regarding weekend games.
Council officers may fine offending Clubs up to $2000 if any team is training on a ground when it is closed.
Weekends
Following prolonged wet weather during the week or heavy rain on Friday or Saturday nights it is sometimes necessary for the Association to declare grounds unfit for play. This decision can be made either during the week or during the weekend, early on match day mornings following ground inspections by Club and Association officials.
Please note that Sutherland Shire Council makes decisions regarding the suitability of grounds for training from Monday to Friday but decisions regarding play on weekends are left ENTIRELY to the Association. Grounds closed during the week may be declared playable by the Association for games on Saturdays and Sundays.
